Baile Tusnad

On the trail of mineral waters

Baile Tusnad is a tourist resort of national interest. It is situated in the southern part of the Ciucului Basin, at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level, between the mountains Harghita and Bodoc, in the Olt Valley.

The climate is sub-alpine, surrounded by pines, a resort with clean air rich in ozone and negative ions. 

The natural treatment factors are mineral waters with carbon-dioxide, chlorine-soda, bicarbonate, mofetas, sub alpine type bio-climate, stimulating and tonifying. The Stanescu spring: natural carbon-dioxide mineral water with soda bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, hypotonic. The Apor spring: natural carbon-dioxide mineral water with some iron and bicarbonate, sodium, hypotonic. They are indicated for cardio-vascular diseases and problems of the nervous system, as well as in the case of digestive and endocrine problems.
